Have you heard of MoSoSo?

Don’t worry if you haven’t. It’s rather new. MoSoSo, or mobile social software, is software — generally on a mobile phone or on a laptop computer — that facilitates social encounters, or mobile social networking by associating geographical location and time with one’s own social network. Mike Butcher has a nice overview of the space here. He suggests that…

All in all it’s shaping up to the THE year for mobile presence and Mobile Social Software.

Mike misses out FoneMine probably because it’s in the Bay Area. (Disclosure: I know the CEO and co-founder there).

    Hi Sharad,

You may want to take a look at www.wirkle.com, a company operating from Gurgaon. They have a product called Link’n'Surf … a mobile app. I have been pondering over its use for my busniess and it looks interesting.

Just came across this blog. Thanks Deepak for the pointer to Link’n'Surf. Essentially with Link’n'Surf our aim is to build a mobile community around content. We presently support blogs, RSS feeds, News, MySpace, Flickr etc as the content channels and aim to grow that to a wider range of content. I’ll be really interested to know your feedback on Link’n'Surf and any ways in which we can improve it.

    Cheers!

Why this blog?

The software industry is going through a seismic shift. This change goes by many names: On-Demand, Web 2.0, SaaS, etc. But they all point to the same conclusion - the era of the traditional software “load, update, and upgrade” model is ending. And, at this stage of industry evolution, it’s not so much about seeing what’s next; it’s mostly about making it happen. It’s about confronting legacy business models and dealing with innovators’ dilemmas. It’s about transformation and implementing orbit change. This blog is a conversation about all these issues.
