Don’t you think comparing Sam Walton’s retail with Hi-Tech business is not very apt?

In retail, the ecosystem and landscape existed even in 1962 when there were a lot of other Ben-Franklins at that time. Wal-Mart perfected the art of discounting and business of scale.

While in high tech industries like Nano-technology and On-Demand business not too many people can exactly predict how the future would look like in 5 yrs time.
Here the betting is on the uncertainty of the future of the trends/fads than outlasting the competitors.
